Speaker: Jim Eschrich

Author, Entrepreneur, Motivational Speaker

Courage. When that word is uttered, more often than not it’s in connection with some heroic deed such as running into a burning building to rescue someone. And while such selfless acts certainly reflect great courage, there is another level of courage that lies beneath the surface waiting to emerge. Though not as extreme, it’s a critical element necessary for succeeding in today's fast-paced business world.

In his book 'Courage for the Rest of Us,' author, speaker, entrepreneur, and former member of the U.S. National Bobsled Team, Jim Eschrich, explains that becoming preoccupied with strategizing and planning is the old paradigm. The new paradigm emphasizes execution, an action-oriented mentality. Why the change? One, the speed of business is fast... and getting faster! And two, true insight can only come from being in the thick of the action.

Through Jim’s first hand, and often outrageous experiences he spells out what it means to thrive in a business world where extraordinary has become the new ordinary. Learn how to find the courage to get in the game.
